This book was everything I needed right now. It was light, low conflict, and made me wish I could experience first hand, all of the golden New York nuggets the author mentions throughout the book, like walking the Brooklyn Bridge, eating bagels, and views of stunning cityscapes. It begins with a meet cute that goes viral, and then turns into a swoony love story between an unlikely couple. Hayes is so adorably awkward and I was really rooting for Franny during all she was dealing with in her career and personal life. One of my favorite aspects of the book was the relationship between Franny and her best friends, Lola and Cleo. They have such a special bond and you just know they would all drop anything to be there for each other. I really enjoyed this debut from Kate Spencer and can’t wait to read whatever she does next.
